Privacy Policy
Caliber Peptide Index (“we”, “the site”) is a static informational website. We do not operate user accounts, do not sell anything directly, and do not ask you for personal information. This policy explains the limited data that is processed when you visit, who processes it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We have no signup, login, or contact form, and we do not knowingly collect names, addresses, or payment details. The only data processed when you visit comes from two sources: privacy-respecting analytics (only after you consent) and our hosting provider, both described below.
Analytics — Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how the site is used in aggregate — for example, which pages and peptides are popular and which outbound vendor links are clicked (recorded as an anonymous “outbound click” event). When enabled with your consent, GA4 sets first-party cookies (such as _ga and _ga_<id>) and processes data including your approximate location (derived from a truncated IP address, which we do not store), device and browser type, referring page, and on-site interactions. Google processes this data as our service provider; learn more in the Google Privacy Policy.
Consent. Analytics cookies are off by default. We use Google Consent Mode, so no analytics cookies are set and no identified analytics data is collected until you accept via our cookie banner. You can decline, or withdraw consent at any time, using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. We honor browser Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track signals where supported. You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Hosting — Cloudflare
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare automatically logs request metadata (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) and may set strictly necessary cookies (such as __cf_bm and cf_clearance) for security and bot mitigation. These are functional, not advertising, and are outside our control. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Advertising
The site currently displays no advertising and sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and the Cookie Policy before any ad service is enabled.
Outbound affiliate links
Some outbound links to vendors include an affiliate tag so a referred purchase can be attributed to us. When you click such a link and visit the vendor’s site, that site may set its own cookies and process your data under its own privacy policy, which we do not control. We receive only aggregate commission reports from affiliate programs, not your personal information.
How we use data and who we share it with
We use the limited data above only to understand and improve the site and to keep it secure. We do not sell or rent personal information, do not maintain a marketing email list, and do not track you across unrelated websites. Data is processed by the service providers named above (Google, Cloudflare) acting on our behalf.
Your rights
California (CCPA/CPRA). California residents have the right to know, access, correct, and delete personal information, and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing.” We do not sell personal information. To the extent analytics constitutes “sharing,” you can opt out simply by declining cookies in our banner or by enabling Global Privacy Control. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
EEA / UK (GDPR). Where the GDPR applies, our lawful basis is your consentfor analytics cookies, and our legitimate interest in security and reliable delivery for hosting logs. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Because the site is operated from the United States, data is processed in the U.S.
Because we hold almost no data that identifies you, there is usually little for us to retrieve or delete on your behalf. For data held by a provider (e.g., Cloudflare logs or Google Analytics), use the provider’s links above, or contact us and we will help where we can.
Data retention
Google Analytics retains user- and event-level data for a limited period (our setting is the GA4 default of up to 14 months) before automatic deletion; aggregate reports may persist longer. Cloudflare retains operational logs for a short period per its own policy. We do not maintain any separate database of visitor data.
Children
The site is intended for an adult research audience and is not directed to anyone under 18; our Terms of Use further require all users to be at least 21. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will address it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site’s services change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
